It was an easy win for Thailand when they played against Brunei over at Bishan Stadium on Saturday, 6 June. The Thais won the match with a wide margin score of 5-0.
Chenrop Samphaodi scored two goals for Thailand in the first half at the 19th and 31st minute. More goals followed in the second half when Tristan Do’s free kick found Thitiphan Puangjan unmarked at the edge of the box in the 53rd minute. Tristan Do added the fourth goal with a pile driver shot outside the box in the 71st minute, and Nurul Sriyankem’s free kick left Brunei’s substitute goal keeper Abd Hafiz Adb Rahim stranded just before the final whistle during added time.

Thailand fans came in full force, occupying the whole of their designated seats. A large supportive crowd and a number of creatively dressed fans boosted the match atmosphere and the Thai players’ morale. At the end of the day, it was all worth the fans time and effort as they went home happily with a great score line.
Thailand have won all the games they played so far, leading at the top of Group B table. However Thailand’s coach, Choketawee Promrut, mentioned that they will treat their next game’s opponent, Vietnam like any other team, and they will continue to play their style of football and not be complacent.
On the other hand, Brunei Coach, Stephen Ng, explained that it was the individual mistakes that caused the goals to be conceded.
Brunei will play against Malaysia and Thailand against Vietnam on 8th and 10th June respectively.
