2013 have been a boring year for every 16 year old student in Singapore because of the national exam! I am not exceptional, because 2013 is the year that I need to take my O levels. That exam was a hell decider for my future; deciding for me what course I can take in polytechnic. Hence, I might just say my closest friend in 2013 is my notes. Just 10 months back, I was stressing about my papers, staying up late to make sure that I complete my practice papers on time. However, there were still so many ups and downs in my academic life, passing and failing subjects even during the prelims.
In social life, all of us met new people, get into fights, had the craziest moments and there are so many more things on the list! But most importantly, we should not backstab anyone. We all must learnt to work with one another.
Most importantly, I am very grateful to have great friends and family by my side. They stick with me through the 2013 journey, constantly supporting & encouraging me to do the things that I want. They are my listening ears.
We all have grown so much and became mature from what we've been through during the year 2013. Well, no matter what happened, 2013 is coming to an end and we'll say hello to 2014! It is time to forget those bad times, and look forward to the good times ahead. There are far better things ahead than we leave behind.
For the first few months of 2014, I guess I am still able to live a stress-free life. School is not reopening for me until April. No more Monday Blues feelings, and able to get more sleep instead of preparing/rushing to school.
Can I say in advance that 2014 would be an awesome year?
