I am guilty of that too. Slowly, I came to realise that academic results are not everything in life, and I became contented with what I have. I began to enjoy school, treating every assignment given as a way to improve myself, through voicing out my doubts and learning from mistakes. With that, I developed an interest in reading more than what was required in the syllabus. I stopped looking at examinations as obstacles. At the same time, I also treated CCA trainings as a learning time too, to learn new skills. I started to learn more.
An optimist learner sees the silver lining, able to work towards good points and will definitely be better off in the future life. That is why I say students must be optimistic in learning, always believing, and hoping that things will turn out well.So that, they they have confidence in themselves.
To do well in learning, students must also take charge of their own learning by being prepared firs t.It's really important to be prepared for learning because if not effective learning will not take place. They must have: long-term goals, revising what one have learnt, playing a role in keeping their own learning environment tidy etc.
I know we students can be optimistic and be well prepared for lessons, I know we can.
