They write petition to MPs to expressed anger and disappointment over plans that were suggested by the government. Do these Singaporeans bear in their mind that the Singapore government is doing their job to deal with a greying population, hoping to accommodate more elderly in housing estates?
I hope that Singaporeans can be more considerate, thinking of the elderly feelings. It is never a good feeling especially when senior citizens are being neglected in the society. In fact, why are elderly treated so badly when they actually contributed a lot in the Singapore history?
The elderly in Singapore needs to be treated as if they are the parents of everyone. Learn to appreciate them. Instead, they should be given the privilege to have their own elder care centre and studio apartments in convenient places of Singapore. This is to suit all the needs of all senior citizens, especially for those with disabilities.
So what is the big fuss about scarifying our better land for the elderly?
