From my point of view, Zing had neglected all the effort that Singapore government in shaping Singapore to what it is today. He is bias to Singapore and indirectly scolding the government. Is Singapore the only country everywhere full dollar sign? No, many countries, e.g. Japan, are also expensive to live in. Don’t judge a country by its cost of living!
Being a Singaporean, Zing must be loyal to his own country. He should not say any hurting comments to his country. He definitely needs to change his attitude, by not critising his own homeland.
To tell the truth, the power of change does not only comes from the leaders (such as Prime Minister, Ministers, Member-Of-Parliament etc), it comes from every Singaporean. The power of change lies in our hands, be an active contributor and voice out your opinions to the leaders. In this way, you are a leader of your own, shaping Singapore’s future. We must also take into consideration, whether your own suggestion is sensible or valid, in order to persuade the government leaders.
In conclusion, Singaporeans should stop complaining about every small single thing happened during their life in Singapore. We must learn to adapt and make good use of the current good living environment.
I shall end of with a National Education (NE) message: Singapore is our homeland; this is where we belong. We, Singaporeans as one, should treasure our heritage and take pride in shaping our own unique way of life.
